Where is the Holy?

Which of the following two pictures inspires the most awe? St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City or.. . 


the H&M on 5th Ave right across the street?  


I find it slightly amusing that these two structures exist side by side. Both are huge spaces dedicated to very different things, both require a type of personal dedication in and of themselves. Both speak loudly about our culture in more ways than can be expressed right here.

I know I was certainly awe-struck in both places. At H&M, I felt compelled to buy something new out of a desire to feel a part of something bigger than me. At St. Patrick's I felt compelled to pray out of the same desire.. .
